My name is Carlos Alberto Cano Bates, I am 22 years old and currently living in Nelson, British Columbia, Canadá. I am originally from Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. I finished my high school studies on 2020 back in my hometown. In my time after high school and throughout the pandemic I have developed some personal projects and of course working on them. I am owner of a YouTube channel and a Podcast. I have been working in these projects for over two years now and it has been a great adventure which I hope to continue for several years to come. As of it right now in 2022 I moved to Querétaro in central Mexico, then moved to Canada to study the Digital Arts Program at Selkirk College.
Working in my digital projects has brought me opportunities that probably would not have existed otherwise, I have had the chance to meet people all around the globe online thanks to my YouTube channel by participating in collaborations with other YouTube channels from Spain, Guatemala, Colombia, Peru and The U.S.
Currently my channel has produced 3 original short films with the help of various young Mexican artists, these short films has given them the opportunity to practice their art and work. Personally, shooting these films has given me a great idea of what its like to work with a crew, and all the creative effort that it involves, but it has also assured me my passion in life. It was a thrill to start back in Mexico.
I have also been able to participate in a production for the juvenile department in my church as the host for a YouTube series program of 2 seasons, seven episodes each. I also had the oportunity to participate in some dubbing projects with people in Guatemala. I also had the pleasure to work with the author of the book "Viaje al Reino de los Jigues" edited by "Universo de Letras" from the spanish publisher "Planeta", Julián Portal Font in the presentation of his book through my channel "Film Fest"
Besides my digital content projects I have acquired some working experience working for “Dedicated People” a company in Mérida that works for various Answering Services in the U.S. I work as an agent and my Job is to receive calls from U.S people and leave notification and messages for our clients in the U.S. I have received training by the company on call center calls handling and costumer service.
